Sustainability Education

Sustainability education is taught as a cross-curriculum priority. The IEEC has a history of partnering with local, State and Federal government and business to provide sustainability education. These programs enable a localised focus on protecting environments and environmental sustainability through student centred action. Projects have included scientist in residence programs for Gifted and Talented environmental science camps, reducing electrical energy consumption, flash floods, stormwater education, reducing waste to landfill, Sustainable Schools, caring for catchments, using parks and public spaces for investigating biodiversity and providing grants to support student environmental actions.
